HERE IS WISHING YOU RESILIENCE THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
It is unfair to wish joy if one does not have it to give. This has been a difficult year. My father died at the beginning of it and my dog died at the end of it. And then there is the presidential festering sore oozing out over our country and leaving us all—left and right, black and white, gay and straight, Christian and not—too sick to speak to each other.
So I wish everyone resilience. I have some of that. Here is a page from a recent erasure book that gives something of the inner reality of how I feel that resilience when I do feel it. May all of us find a way to give the light of resilience as a gift to ourselves and those near and dear to us this holiday season.
